The RAC members though already

have this coverage, so it would mainly benefit our non-RAC members. However, it

is a good thing to be tied into RAC since they represent our interests to the gov’t.

No motions was made. AAP will make copies of that key for some of us this week. He still plans to talk to Jim Wilm.
VE5QU Randy Canning - Farewell supper Sept.5, Friday night at 6:30 at Country Kitchen was well attended. AAP was in attendance.

Health - wife of VE5PX (Dave) was visited by AAP and his wife. FMS was also seen by PJP and seemed to be doing fine.

Elections to be held at November meeting.
Dues are also due.

Ham Relations - We had cross-participation a few times recently with the other Ham groups in the area, and hopefully this will even increase.

Tech Report - BBI site - Tower still on hold on the property of PJP. He hopes to have the antenna for radio station soon, and must have tower fully up by Nov.5th, as stipulated in his tower permit. BBI repeater is still not repaired. - RPA - the previously mentioned repair was a corroded battery wire.- PA - has noise problems on the repeater was not evident in the last two days. PJP thinks it could be caused by a packet beacon, or someone generating noise. The interference is on the VHF of the PA repeater.

Historical Stuff - VE5YN John Schmidt, has photo album of historical stuff pertaining to our club that he wants to give us. We decided we would store it at EEE when we receive it. It was also a successful event, although the weather was a bit cool, especially in the morning. The National Park was celebrating its 80th Birthday that weekend, so vehicular traffic was a bit busier that day. They graciously provided coffee to us for the meeting.

Three BBQ fund raisers at the COOP profited about $350, $250, and $200. Total finances are now at $ 1,707.46. We made about $800 at BBQ's, $200 by Frank Dunn Triathalon.
The Prince Albert National Park - We finally just paid the "Surrender of Lease" fee they imposed upon us.

Frank Dunn Triathalon, Aug.12th. Hams helping were: BCS, HKC, PJP, AAP, VIS, PT, SAM. BBI repeater was operated (transported by PJP), and ran well most of the time. Athletes had electronic chips strapped to their ankles, which automatically would keep track of certain check-points. The PA Roadrunners had donated us $200 in advance of the event, for helping. There were no serious emergencies.

Net Report - 120 check-ins, for August.

Tech Report
BBI - is running at PJP's yard. PJP's kitchen fluorescent lights had been setting off repeater. He also reseated op-amp in controller. It had been used at Triathalon.
RPA - no maintenance. It needs to have yard work done. Repeater is working fine, and still operating on solar. INET2000's dish and omni are just above our solar panels, which will make it difficult to climb by it if we want to get our old antenna down.

Picnic - on June 7th, with about 12 attending at Kinsmen park. No business meeting.

Elections - PT moved that all positions remain for another term. There were no objections, it was seconded and carried. (VIS was the only one not present, and had already agreed to continue for another term as a director.)

Monday Night Coffees will resume for those available, around 9 pm, perhaps at Humpty's.

PT will probably sell his tower and antenna. First he must take it down. He is now living in an apartment.

Membership Dues - PT made a motion that the dues remain the same ($35 single, $50 families), seconded by PJP, and carried. The club dues are now "due".

Executive and Directors remain for another term.
President - VE5AAP Art Pederson
Vice-Pres.- VE5HAE Harry Enequist
Sec/Treas.- VE5ZC Blaine Witherow
Director - VE5JOP Joe Pope
Director - VE5BCS Harold Slack
Director - VE5PT Mike Palawaga,
Director - VE5VIS Peter VisArt A Pedersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00609528597628462575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529779738492830962.post-29626331527566676932007-09-08T22:02:00.000-07:002007-09-08T22:16:08.811-07:00Club MeetingsOur Club is open to all Amateur Radio enthusiasts.
